Alec Empire (D/UK, Atari Teenage Riot)
Naast elementen uit zijn meest recente live-show, is met Alec Empire onlangs afgesproken dat hij met het thema Atompunk in zijn performance op GOGBOT gaat werken. Hiernaast experimenteert hij met de kunstzinnige mogelijkheden die het festival biedt, film, performance, video, noise.
Alec Empire (geboren als Alexander Wilke-Steinhof , 1972 in Charlottenburg, West Berlijn) is een Duitse muzikant die het best bekend is als de oprichter van de band Atari Teenage Riot. Tevens als productieve solo artiest, producer en DJ, heeft hij meer dan 100 albums, EP’s en singles uitgegeven. Hiernaast heft hij meer dan 70 tracks voor bekende en minder bekende artiesten gemixt. Bovendien was hij de drijvende kracht achter het ontstaan van het digital hardcore subgenre en de platenlabels Digital Hardcore Recordings en Eat Your Heart Out.
Godfather of Digital Hardcore from Berlin, Alec Empire, prepared a special Atompunk show in his studio. Be prepared for an apocalyptic firework, the opening show of GOGBOT 2009.

Missill (Fr, citizen records)
Missill was al eens eerder in Enschede, in 2007 was zij de sensatie van AKI festival! Zij zette daar de tent volledig op zijn kop.
Missill is een Parisienne van voorin de twintig, maar ze draait al jaren mee in het Parijse clubcircuit. Alles wat ze aanraakt wordt goud: Design, grafitti, muziek en meer. Haar DJ-optredens zijn een mash-up feest: met meer dan vijftig platen per uur variërend in stijl van Electro, Punkfunk en Hiphop tot Rock en Ragga krijgt ze ieder publiek om, terwijl ze zelf als een opzwepende god de strijd aanvoert van achter de draaitafels.
Missill is a Parisienne in her early twenties, but has already been a feature of the Paris club scene for years now. Everything she touches turns to gold: design, graffiti, music and more. Her DJ-performances are mash-up fests: at over fifty records per hour ranging from electro, punk funk and hip hop to rock & ragga she can light up any crowd, taking the lead like some goddess whipping it up behind her turntables.

Otto von Schirach (USA, cockrockdisco / ipecac)
De laatste release "Oozing Bass Spasms" van deze sado-booty ring-master is er weer een om van te smullen. Met een goede dosis porno en horror samples, aangevuld met een sappige bas waar de meest doorgewinterde clubfan nog een puntje aan kan zuigen, bewijst Otto von Schirach wederom dat hij een van ‘s werelds meest originele artiesten is. Nog beter dan zijn platen zijn zijn live-optredens. In kleine clubs of op enorme festivals: het publiek gaat volledig uit zijn dak!
Recent speelde hij nog de uitverkochte club van Justice (in Parijs) plat met zijn absurde combinatie van bootybass, rave en breakcore. Hij haalt veel inspiratie uit futurisme/science fiction/horror. Speciale show met Neverporn Community uit st Petersburg.

Bonaparte (D, Goomah/excelsior)
Nadat de Zwitserse vagebond Bonaparte in 2006 van Barcelona naar Berlijn verhuist wordt hij al snel een sensatie in de underground van Europas muziekhoofdstad. Het debuutalbum Too Much, dat uitkomt in augustus 2008 markeert het begin van een stormachtige carrière. Na in januari 2009 een optreden op het Eurosonic festival te hebben gespeeld zetten ze met regelmaat de Nederlandse clubs & festivals op zijn kop. Eerder al speelde Bonaparte op een privé feestje van Quentin Tarantino, ze staan dan ook garant voor een party zoals zijn films zijn. Bonaparte levert een post-apocalyptisch burlesque feest zoals je dat nog niet eerder hebt meegemaakt.
After the Swiss vagabond Bonaparte moved from Barcelona to Berlin in 2006 they quickly became a sensation in the underground scene of Europe's music capital. Huoratron (FIN, New Judas)
De volledig met een Gameboy gemaakte techno/electro van Finse Viking Huoratron komt binnen als een tank! Op de afgelopen editie van Eurosonic liet hij Simplon nog uit zijn voegen barsten en nu gaat ook Atak eraan geloven. Eind augustus is eerst nog de X-Ray op het uitverkochte Lowlands Festival aan de beurt en daarna komt deze kale oppermachtige Fin rechtstreeks naar Enschede!
Hij deelde eerder al het podium met electro helden als Boys Noize, MixHell en DAT Politics, dus beukende electro tot diep in de nacht!
Finnish Viking Huoratron's techno/electro composed entirely on a Gameboy.Hits you like a tank! ZEITGEBER
Techno act van Radboud Mens & Danny de Graaf. De muziek is een mix van minimal tot hard style, dub, electro en acid-house, aangevuld met speciale audio-samples en noise,  ontleend aan analoge synthesizers en drumcomputers uit de 70s en 80s, en aan de eerste Russische en Amerikaanse satellieten en andere ruimtevaart programma’s.
ZEITGEBER is a new techno act by Danny de Graan & Radboud Mens. Mash-up from minimal to hardstyle, dub, electro and acid-house, combined into their own unique style. For the Atompunk theme ZEITGEBER mixed up extra samples from US and Russian space programs.

DMX Krew (UK, rephlex/ breakin)
Ed DMX beheert vanuit Londen zijn eigen label Breakin' Records. Zijn tweede release “Sound of The Street” verscheen in 1996 op het label Rephlex, van Aphex Twin. Er volgden meer releases, ook op andere labels (International Deejay Gigolos, Ersatz Audio, Sonic Groove). Via zijn eigen Breakin’ bracht hij het debuutalbum van Ceephax Acid Crew (vorig jaar op uitverkochte GOGBOT Acid/Rave!). Nog steeds tourt Ed de hele wereld over, met en zonder de Rephlex Crew en knalde o.a. in Japan voor een publiek van 8.000 man, met niemand minder dan Derrick May!
Deze herfst verschijnt van DMX krew een nieuw album met zijn altijd feestwaardige electro!
Ed DMX runs his own label, Breakin' Records, from London. His second record 'Sound of the Street' was released in 1996 on Aphex Twin's Rephlex label. He released Ceephax Acid Crew's (who were at last year's sold-out GOGBOT Acid/Rave!) debut album.
This autumn, DMX krew will release a new album of his own with his always party-able electro!

Clark (UK, Warp)
Clark werd natuurlijk bekend als Chris Clark, en heeft ondertussen een indrukwekkende staat van dienst op het warp label waar hij keer op keer een bijzondere plaat aflevert, waarmee hij Autechre naar kroon steekt.
De nieuwste plaat van Chris Clark - Totems Flare - ligt vanaf 13 juli in de schappen! De preview EP Growl's Garden oogstte al veel lof. Clash Magazine spreekt van een 'bin busting distorted stomper' met duistere melodielijnen die doen denken aan Tricky en een enorme lading bass uit de Modeselektor school. Meteen al werd de muziek op deze EP uitgeroepen tot 'the best dance music we've heard in 2009'! Niet voor niets staat Clark deze zomer in de X-Ray op het inmiddels ruimschoots uitverkochte Lowlands festival!
Aansluitend op Lowlands komt hij dus het GOGBOT festival ondersteboven blazen.
Of course Clark gained his fame as Chris Clark, and has built up an impressive record on the Warp label where time and again he delivers unusual records, challenging Autechre. Clash Magazine calls it a 'bin busting distorted stomper' with dark melodies reminiscent of Tricky and a huge load of bass inspired by Modeselektor. Specially for Gogbot Festival, which promised to be first foreign experience for Neverporn, 6 girls made a brand new scene performance. It's very own dedication to all beautiful women from the past whose lives were demented and ruined by harsh reality opposite to intimate life. After seeing this you can smile upon death of Anna Karenina.

Caspa (UK, Fabric/dub police)
Caspa aka Gary McCann is een ware dubstep god. Deze Londenaar brengt zijn nieuwste plaat uit op het label Fabric. Eerder werd hij gevraagd om samen met Rusko de 37ste editie in de legendarische FabricLive-series te mixen, waarmee zij in de voetsporen traden van legendes als John Peel, Noisia, Simian Mobile Disco en Diplo. Hiermee zetten zij dubstep voor het eerst breed in de kijker. Er volgden live shows op o.a. Glastonbury, maar ook in Israel, Nieuw Zeeland en Canada werden bezocht. Caspa is momenteel een van de grootste dubstep-helden die er zijn, dus grijp je kans!
Caspa is zojuist genomineerd als beste dubstep artiest 2009 voor de Beatport awards! Op het moment is zijn remix van “I remeber” van Deadmau5 (een van ’s werelds grootste dance acts) een wereldwijde hit!

Een van de jonge en upcoming dubstep producers uit de UK is Emalkay. Als onderdeel van Caspa’s Dub Police zet hij met regelmaat de Fabric onder stroom. Met dubstep hits op zijn naam als “Mecha” zorgen zijn plaaten voor de gegarandeerde ontploffing op elk dubstep feest met zelfs pogo-pits tot gevolg.
Bekende dj’s en artiesten als Amon Tobin en Marie Ann Hobbs dragen deze jongeling op handen!
One of the young up&coming dubstep producers in the UK is Emalkay. As part of Caspa's Dub Police he regularly electrifies the Fabric. JazZstePpa is een live dubstep act, afkomstig uit Berlijn, die op het podium met trombone, drums en draaitafels experimenteert en musiceert! BarbZ & ShmueL! Mixen samen met Katalze een nieuw geluid, opgebouwd uit elementen als Dubstep, D&B, Hard-Bop and Dancehall. Black Sun Empire (NL - Shadows of the Empire Set)
Deze heren afkomstig uit Utrecht kennen we van hun duistere stijl drumnbass, te horen op albums zoals Cruel and Unusual, Driving Insane en Endangered Species, waarop ze de kracht van hun platenlabel tentoon spreiden. Black Sun Empire was al eerder op Donderslag te gast in het zowel het nieuwe als het oude pand en blies het publiek volledig op. Vanavond gaan ze dit trucje nogmaals herhalen, met een speciale Shadows of the Empire Set!
These gentlemen from Utrecht are known for their dark drum'n'bass on albums such as Cruel and Unusual, Driving Insane and Endangered Species, where they show the power of their record label. When Black Sun Empire played at Donderslag they blew the audience away, both in the old venue and the new one.

VAgE gASTEN is een collectief van ongeveer 15 jongens, en voorzichtig een paar meiden die in verschillende disciplines kunstige dingen doen, zoals schilderen, designen, fotograferen, filmen, schrijven, muziek maken en organiseren. Op hun website plaatsen ze gekke, leuke, verrassende party reports en doen ze verslag van het “live-painten” dat zij zaterdagnacht in Atak gaan doen.  
VAgE gASTEN is a collective of about 15 boys and girls who are involved in different things in artistic disciplines such as painting, design, photographing, filming, writing, making music and organizing. On their website place crazy, funny and surprising party reports and also, they report the "live painting" they do Saturday night in Atak.

Oude Markt
Op de Oude Markt is er ruimte voor vernieuwende, verassende en misschien ook wel shockerende acts die het kunstprogramma in en rond de Grote Kerk versterken.
Verder is er gekozen voor artiesten uit de Nederlandse, Londense en vooral ook Berlijnse scene die een toevoeging zijn aan het muzikale programma en een verbinding hebben met zowel het nachtprogramma in Atak als met het kunstprogramma op de diverse locaties.
